The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) has launched an enhanced edition of its Summer Training Program for university students, in collaboration with the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) and Systel, the official distributor for Motorola Solutions in Egypt. The program forms part of national efforts to equip young talents with the skills needed for careers in ICT and digital arts.
Redesigned to align with the evolving demands of local and global labor markets, the program reflects a renewed focus on future-ready skills and responds to the significant demand seen in previous editions.
The program targets training 10,000 undergraduate students in their first, second, or third academic year from faculties of engineering, computer science, business information systems, mass communication, fine and applied arts, and art education.
Participation is free of charge, with the program featuring 120 hours of training per track: 90 hours of specialized technical instruction and 30 hours of workplace readiness training focused on soft skills and freelancing basics. Training is offered either online or in person at NTI campuses and Creativa Innovation Hubs across various governorates.
Delivered in partnership with NTI, the program offers eight specialized tracks, including cybersecurity, software development and UI/UX design, data analytics and artificial intelligence, cloud computing, systems administration, electronics, digital arts, and digital marketing. Students enrolled in this program will have access to up to 70% discounts on international certification exams through NTI, helping them gain industry-recognized credentials that enhance employability in global markets.
In parallel, ITIDA is offering a specialized training track in collaboration with Systel, targeting 250 students from the faculties of engineering and computers and information. This industry-led program provides practical, hands-on training in advanced telecommunications technologies such as microwave and broadband communications, fiber optics, surveillance systems, satellite communications, and public safety networks, in addition to soft skills training. The technical component is delivered by Systel, while ITIDA supports the non-technical component.
This initiative reaffirms ITIDA’s commitment to long-term human capital development and the creation of sustainable career pathways for Egyptian youth in the digital economy. It also supports the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s strategy to expand Egypt’s technology talent pool, advance the Digital Egypt vision, and strengthen Egypt’s position as a regional hub for IT and offshoring services.
