Digital Egypt Builders Initiative (DEBI), in collaboration with Société Arabe Internationale de Banque (SAIB), held the “AI in Financial Technology” Workshop on May 17 in Cairo, as part of FinTech Hackathon 2025. The event was organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and support of FinTech Egypt—an initiative by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).
The workshop provided DEBI students a unique opportunity for learning, innovating, and networking with industry professionals. It focused on FinTech, the role of CBE in this field, financial inclusion, financial services, Artificial Intelligence (AI), data science, and data analytics. The session also addressed several problem statements along with their corresponding solutions.
DEBI is a scholarship program launched by MCIT to develop high-caliber professionals in modern ICT fields and unlock the creative potential of Egyptian youth. The program aims to foster an environment that supports innovation and excellence, enhance the skills of academics through knowledge exchange, and build sustainable partnerships with leading global firms and top universities. Training is delivered in collaboration with international universities via an e-learning platform, alongside contributions from local and global tech companies and organizations specializing in leadership and language skills development.
