Vodafone Egypt has announced a new achievement that further cements its leadership in the telecommunications sector, having been awarded the “Best Mobile and Fixed Internet Network” by the independent benchmarking organization, Umlaut, renowned for evaluating the performance of over 200 telecom networks in more than 120 countries for the second consecutive year. This reaffirms the company’s ongoing commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality connectivity services to its customers.

According to Umlaut’s report, Vodafone ranked as the top mobile network in Egypt, earning the highest scores in mobile coverage, download speeds, and overall performance. The company also secured the highest rating in the fixed internet category for high-speed connectivity and the lowest latency performance.

Umlaut is one of the world’s leading independent institutions in telecommunications network benchmarking. Its latest mobile benchmarking report, covering the period from August 2024 to January 2025, is based on over 2.1 million random data samples collected from 353,000 mobile users, spanning over 167,000 square kilometers. For fixed internet, more than 80 million samples were gathered from approximately 156,000 fixed lines.

“Being recognized as the top-performing telecommunications network in Egypt by a globally trusted benchmarking authority, whose results are widely relied upon across Europe, reflects the success of our strategic vision,” remarked Mohamed Abdallah, CEO of Vodafone Egypt. “We have continuously invested in infrastructure and adopted cutting-edge technologies to deliver exceptional and distinctive services to our customers, while also contributing to Egypt’s national development goals. As we continue our commitment to expanding high-quality services by widely deploying 5G networks across Egypt to meet our customers’ evolving expectations, 5G services will be launched in May 2025.

For his part, Catalin Buliga, Technology Director at Vodafone Egypt, stated “This achievement demonstrates our continued dedication to enhancing our network performance and technological infrastructure. We are committed to delivering innovative solutions that shape the future of telecommunications and meet the growing demands of our customers, especially as we move forward with the imminent launch of 5G services.”

This recognition reflects Vodafone Egypt’s customer-centric strategy, which prioritizes consistent investment in network infrastructure development. The report further underscores Vodafone’s position as a global benchmark for network quality and performance, reinforcing customer confidence in the brand’s offerings.
