The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) have launched the CIT Career Launch Initiative, designed to prepare young graduates for the tech job market.
The initiative aligns with the Ministry’s strategy to develop and strengthen digital job-related skills among youth, advance the state’s efforts to build Digital Egypt, and reinforce Egypt’s growing position as a regional hub for technology and innovation.
The initiative aims to cultivate a new generation of skilled professionals in Cybersecurity, DevOps, and Telecom Networks through a comprehensive training program that combines specialized technical training, soft skills development, and practical experience in collaboration with industry experts. Participants will also receive internationally accredited professional certificates.
The six-month training program received 2,238 applications from graduates of Egyptian universities in the past five years nationwide. Following rigorous evaluation stages and interviews, 200 trainees were selected to join the program.
Reflecting MCIT’s commitment to advancing human development and preparing a workforce capable of driving digital transformation, the initiative focuses on equipping trainees with a well-rounded combination of academic knowledge and practical experience. It also nurtures the flexibility to perform multiple roles within the chosen specialization, thus enhancing their employment prospects and readiness for the local and global job markets.
CIT Career Launch serves as a strategic extension of the Digital Egypt Youth (DEY) initiative and is developed in partnership with national and international technology leaders. It offers focused skill-building in each specialization, exposure to multiple job functions, and hands-on engagement in industry-led projects while fostering technical proficiency, soft skills, and cross-functional competencies.
