Today, Dalia El-Baz, Chair of the Board of Directors of the National Postal Authority, held a meeting with members of the Board of Directors of the General Union of Postal Workers, in the presence of all the Authority’s executive leaders, at the Post Office building in the administrative capital.

At the beginning of the meeting, Ms. Dalia El Baz, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the National Postal Authority, emphasised that employees are the real wealth on which the Authority relies to implement its future plans, and that meeting their demands is one of its top priorities.
Ms. Dalia El-Baz explained that she follows all employee affairs with great interest, emphasising her full respect for their efforts and noting that colleagues working through subsidiaries are an integral part of the system and deserve all appreciation and respect, and that all their files – whether financial, administrative or health-related are under serious review to ensure that their conditions are improved and that none of them are harmed.

With regard to the employee healthcare project, Ms. Dalia Al-Baz, Chair of the Board of Directors of the National Postal Authority, revealed that the project has been amended and updated to include employees’ families, with an increase in financial allocations for the first time, in an unprecedented step aimed at providing the best care and support for employees and their families.

Ms. Dalia Al-Baz, Chair of the Board of Directors, also emphasised the importance of training employees and raising their efficiency, explaining that training is not limited to developing technical skills, but also contributes to correcting concepts to keep pace with market requirements and communicating with customers with a new mindset, especially young people. In addition to raising employee awareness of the importance of maintaining operating supplies, reducing waste rates, and seeking the best ways to maximise returns.

Ms. Dalia Al-Baz pointed out that all contracts related to the Authority are carefully reviewed, including maintenance and supplies contracts, in order to serve the interests of the Authority and ensure rationalisation of expenses and maximisation of the use of resources. She emphasised that achieving profits is a strategic goal, but that this must be balanced with the provision of operating supplies and maximising the use of resources and assets to maximise revenues and increase operational efficiency. She explained that the current financial surplus was the result of investment activities, while the Authority seeks to achieve an additional and sustainable surplus through operational activities in the coming period, thereby strengthening the Authority’s economic position and supporting the sustainability of its development plans.

Ms. Dalia Al-Baz added that the members of the Postal Union carry a great responsibility, as they are the real link between management and employees, and they have a duty to be transparent and clarify matters to all employees, emphasising that any financial surplus achieved from the Authority’s operations will primarily benefit the employees themselves. The principle of justice also requires that those who work hard should not be treated the same as those who do not work, and that linking incentives to productivity is a positive approach to establishing the values of justice and motivation.
