The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the Ministry of Education co-organized the fifth week of the Digi-Safe program from August 31 to September 3 in Cairo. The program is held under the theme “A Safe Digital Summer,” as part of the Digital Citizenship and Online Safety initiative.
The program aimed to strengthen the digital skills of students, teachers, and educationalists at Lycée Al Horreya and King Fahd Model Language School in Cairo Governorate, as part of ongoing efforts to foster a culture of digital safety during the summer vacation. It featured sessions and interactive workshops designed to raise awareness of online threats and promote effective protection measures.
Around 173 participants benefited from the training, comprising 83 teachers and educationalists, and 90 primary, preparatory, and secondary stage students. The training relied on a tailored digital literacy curriculum and featured innovative and engaging activities to enhance students’ digital knowledge and empower them to protect themselves in cyberspace.
Digi-Safe is part of broader efforts to promote awareness of the safe and responsible use of technology, contributing to fostering a digitally aware generation capable of engaging with modern technologies confidently and securely.
