As part of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority’s follow-up on the outage that occurred in Vodafone Egypt’s network on Tuesday evening, which affected some mobile services for a number of Vodafone Egypt customers, and in light of its keenness to mitigate the consequences of the impact on the company’s mobile services and ensure the preservation of users’ rights, the Authority approved compensation for affected Vodafone Egypt customers and obliged the company to implement it.
Compensation was approved for affected prepaid mobile customers in the form of 500 additional free units, and compensation was also approved for affected monthly bill customers in the form of 5 free gigabytes, as compensation for the period during which the service was affected.
The National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority affirms that it will continue to monitor the quality of services provided to users and coordinate with companies to ensure the continuity of services and prevent the recurrence of such disruptions, thereby protecting users’ rights and achieving the highest levels of satisfaction.
