The Housing and Development Bank launches
a trial run of its new electronic platform for booking New Urban Communities Authority projects
As part of its ongoing efforts to implement its strategic plan aimed at developing housing services, in line with its digital transformation and improving the experience of its customers in the housing sector, the Housing and Development Bank announced the launch of a trial run for its new electronic platform for online reservations for housing projects and land belonging to the New Urban Communities Authority.

This step confirms the bank’s pivotal role as a strategic partner of the authority since its inception and consolidates its fruitful and ongoing cooperation with the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, based on the bank’s more than 45 years of experience in serving its customers in this vital sector.

The launch of the platform reflects the bank’s keenness to provide integrated housing services that meet customer expectations and keep pace with the state’s urban expansion trends, by offering a unique digital experience that allows customers to easily and securely reserve land and residential units for the Urban Communities Authority’s projects online, thereby contributing to the highest levels of transparency, impartiality, and accuracy in presenting the details of the projects offered.

In this context, the bank has released a series of introductory videos through its official channels to clarify the steps for using the platform and explain the mechanism for entering data and registering reservations, thereby simplifying procedures and enhancing customer awareness of how to use the platform.

The new Housing and Development Bank electronic platform for booking New Urban Communities Authority projects includes a set of advanced features aimed at improving the user experience and enhancing the efficiency of the service provided.

Recent updates have increased the platform’s capacity to accommodate high traffic during booking periods, thereby enhancing service continuity without disruptions or slow access to the platform.

The platform has also been equipped with advanced digital systems that promote equal opportunities by applying the principle of “first come, first served,” while enabling applicants to follow the booking and allocation procedures with complete transparency. The updates also included the application of modern digital solutions to securely manage and document applicants’ preferences, thereby enhancing data protection and securing the platform against cyber attacks.

The platform is fully automated without any human intervention, which contributes to achieving the highest levels of transparency and impartiality.

It is worth noting that the Housing and Development Bank platform is the first electronic real estate platform specialising in reserving land and residential units for New Urban Communities Authority projects. The platform began offering its services to the public in 2017.

Over the course of more than eight years, the platform has contributed to the electronic reservation and allocation of more than 80 projects and more than 500,000 residential units, benefiting thousands of citizens in various governorates of the Republic.
