Celebrating World Innovation Day, Creativa Innovation Hub in Mansoura organized the closing ceremony of Industry 4.0 Marathon for Digital Transformation, on April 23. It honored six incubation-ready innovative projects that successfully developed minimum viable products (MVPs).
The marathon, which took place from March 5 to April 17, aimed to provide a platform for exchanging knowledge and expertise among students, academics, and entrepreneurs, while promoting innovation as a key driver of industrial growth and exploring the future of digital transformation. This aligned with the national efforts to position Egypt as a regional hub for innovation and technological advancement.
Industry 4.0 Marathon was part of the continued efforts by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) to support startups, encourage entrepreneurship and innovation, drive digital transformation, and develop a new generation of highly skilled technology professionals.
The program featured sessions highlighting the latest emerging technologies, their impact on various industries within the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the challenges and opportunities of Egyptian companies, and strategies to promote and position Egypt as a regional exporter of Industry 4.0 solutions.
The Hub awarded a total of EGP 120K in cash prizes to the winning projects. In the healthcare technology track, Nabra won first place and an EGP 30K prize, Raq App secured second place with an EGP 20K prize, and Virtulearning came third, receiving EGP 10K.
