NTI Celebrates ‘AI Ambassadors’ Second Cohort Graduation

by Ahmed Hassaan

The National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) has hosted the graduation ceremony of the second cohort of the Artificial Intelligence Ambassadors Program, in collaboration with Engineers for A Sustainable Egypt (ESE). The event took place at NTI’s premises in the New Administrative Capital and included 840 trainees from various age groups and professional backgrounds.

The program is implemented under a cooperation protocol between NTI and ESE. It aims to equip non-specialists with the skills to use AI technologies and promote AI literacy in different work environments.

Running over the course of a full month, the program includes 36 hours of interactive training and four additional hours dedicated to a hands-on project. It aims to enhance participants’ understanding of AI fundamentals and develop their ability to work with its applications in various professional settings. The curriculum covers topics such as data analysis basics, ethical considerations, key challenges, and future trends in the field.

This initiative is part of the Institute’s broader efforts to implement the goals of Egypt’s National AI Strategy, which includes high-level training and capacity building and supports the Digital Egypt vision. The program also reflects NTI’s commitment to raising awareness, developing skills, and bridging the technology gap among non-specialists. It also highlights the Institute’s role in preparing a skilled workforce to meet the evolving demands of the labor market.

The AI Ambassadors program has so far trained 1,310 graduates across its first and second cohorts. Outstanding trainees will be offered the opportunity to join the Egyptian Talents Academy (ETA) program, organized by NTI in collaboration with Huawei, and benefit from its AI training courses.
